Envoy makes Hall a MegaStar
Media co. hires CEO for multiplex group
Hall will be based in Ho Chi Minh City to oversee Megastar's exhibition and distribution activities.
Most recently he was chief operating officer of the publicly listed Thai exhibitor Major Cineplex. Before that he worked at Imax Corp. and Imax Australia.
Since its launch in April 2006, MegaStar has opened four multiplexes and plans to open three more, with a further 21 screens, by October.
"Brian is an experienced top-level executive in the industry with significant knowledge of not only the film exhibition and distribution businesses, but also long experience in dealing in multiple markets and cultures throughout Asia," Richard A. Rosenfield, head of Envoy shareholder Asian Capital Partners, said.
