Klores works 'Black Magic' for ESPN

Documentary to air after NCAA selection

"Crazy Love" helmer Dan Klores is going into double overtime with four-hour doc "Black Magic," which will air commercial-free on ESPN over two nights March 16-17.

Pic tracks the progression of the civil rights movement through the eyes of black basketball players and coaches who attended historically black colleges and universities during the societal upheaval.

Samuel L. Jackson, jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and Hornets point guard Chris Paul provide narration for the project, co-produced by Klores and former New York Knick Earl "the Pearl" Monroe.

"There's no better time to share it with our viewers than in the thick of college basketball's biggest month," said Keith Clinkscales, ESPN senior veep of content development and enterprises.

Doc will air on ESPN immediately following NCAA selection coverage.
