"They were so powerful together in 'Control.' When something is unexpected, it takes you by surprise, and those performances did that for me. As actors, they are brave and the performances they give are so raw. It harks back to those English films of the late 1950s, early 1960s like 'Room at the Top' and 'This Sporting Life.' The performances are just so unexpected; I hope they get recognized."
