Police raid Victoria piracy lab

Seizes 88 DVD burners, 200,000 discs

Police in Victoria raided the largest piracy lab found Down Under, seizing 88 DVD burners and more than 200,000 pirated DVDs.

Police, working with investigators from the Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft, said the lab was capable of producing more than 2.2 million DVDs a year with an estimated street value of A$16.6 million ($14.4 million).

A 40-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the haul.
