With this appointment, Blanco emerges as a key Vertice honcho, overseeing Vertice's film business, and one of Spain's most powerful film execs, responsible for Vertice's film acquisitions and production policies.
Vertice's film division includes Manga Films, one of Spain's biggest mainstream pic buyers, top-notch specialty production-distribution house Notro Films, niche distrib Versus and genre producer-distributor Amazing.
Film division also incorporates Telespan 2000, a successful comedy pic production company. Telespan's partner Tomas Cimadevilla heads up Vertice's film production activities. Vertice owns near 4,500 film titles.
Catalan film distributor Luis de Val, co-founder of Manga Films, stays as Manga's honorary prexy.
Nathalie Garcia, a former Sony Pictures International TV exec, leads Vertice's TV division, which includes Notro's TV arm, new media producer Sibloc and nature documentaries production company Cin-TV.
Seasoned tech services exec Juan de Miguel manages Vertice's services division, including leading post-prod house Telson and tech rental company Videoreport.
New Vertice 360's structure attempts to exploit synergies and to maximize the efficiency of the companies under exec prexy Jose Maria Irisarri.
A subsid holding of Spanish high-tech, telco and media group Avanzit, Vertice aims to hit the Spanish stock market before year end.
