Canadian finds critical, commercial success

Now that he's experienced the whole package, Cera seems intent on making it even, well, wholer. He's up next in Fox Searchlight's "Juno," the comedy-drama about teen pregnancy -- the innocent-looking Cera supplies the DNA sample -- that emerged from the Toronto Film Festival with serious Oscar buzz. The film co-stars Cera's "Arrested Development" dad, Jason Bateman, although the two don't share any scenes.
Projects in the works include Mandate Pictures' "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," a comedy about young love that sounds as if it could rival "Superbad" for heart, if not profanity. And, like any good brother of the Apatow comic fraternity, Cera's putting his own vision down on paper -- and up on the screen.
His 10-episode CBS.com series "Michael and Clark," co-created and co-starring "Greek's" Clark Duke, is hailed by TV Squad, which said, "Sometimes the best television is on the Internet."

"In approaching projects, I like to follow my gut and consider what heroes might do," Cera says.
