Actor scores a touchdown with 'Game Plan'

Pic, which features Johnson as an an NFL quarterback who discovers he has a precocious 8-year-old daughter by a deceased girlfriend, has earned nearly $80 million domestically, making it the highest-grossing feature of the fall season.
Not surprisingly, the "plan" now is more family comedy.
In early 2008, the actor reteams with "Game Plan" director Andy Fickman to topline "Witch Mountain," a remake of the 1975 Disney pic. Johnson also is set to play Agent 23 in the summer release "Get Smart," opposite Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and Alan Arkin.
Point of view
"I've always been drawn to comedy," Johnson says. "Even in an action movie, it's nice to find a way to add levity within the story. I was waiting for the opportunity to make a big, broad comedy, and the partnership with Disney and Andy Fickman enabled me to do that. Comedy is difficult. Timing, nuance, etc. The fact that I've found some success in the genre is very rewarding."
