'Negative's' positive Nordic result

Bard Breien's film wins NDR prize

STOCKHOLM -- Norwegian film "The Art of Negative Thinking," directed by Bard Breien, won the NDR film prize at the Nordic Film Days in Lubeck, which ended Sunday.

Swedish film "Suddenly," directed by Johan Brisinger, won the audience prize. The Baltic film prize for Nordic feature was won by Ake Sandgren's "To Love Someone," which also won the Interfilm Church honor.

Documentary laurels went to Finland's "Asylum," directed by Jenni Linko.

Swedish film "Leaps and Bounds," directed by Petter Naess, won the children's and youth prize, with special mentions given to Hella Joof's "BitterSweetHeart" and Espen Fyksen and Lise Osvoll's "Elias and the Royal Yacht."

The ComLine prize went to toon "Dionysos" by Jorg Weidner and Anke Spath, with a special mention to "The Dead Meat" by Philipp Scholz.

The Cinegate Prize went to "Mars" by Marcus Richardt with a special mention to Dana Linkiewicz's "Pain Killer."
