'Bordertown' bypasses bigscreen

Jennifer Lopez film will go straight to DVD

Jennifer Lopez starrer "Bordertown," produced through her Nuyorican shingle, looks set to go straight to DVD.

Distrib THINKFilm has nixed its plan to release it in only Dallas and El Paso, Texas, and pic is no longer on the indie's theatrical release sked. A DVD release is slated for February.

Helmer Gregory Nava's pic tells the true story of a reporter probing the murders of women in Cuidad Juarez in Mexico, close to the U.S. border. Pic was booed at its Berlin Intl Film Festival preem in February.
