CGI characters Hoofy the Bull and Boo the Bear are now hosting "Hoofy and Boo's News and Views," a regular segment on Fox Business News' "Happy Hour." "Hoofy and Boo" is the first regularly scheduled animated news show on TV.
The segment comes to FBN by way of financial info/entertainment site Minyanville.com, for which Minyanville founder and CEO Todd Harrison created the program.
"This is definitely going to expand," said Minyanville prexy Kevin Wassong. "We've been approached by people about a feature film and will definitely expand beyond that."
The animated co-anchors, who intersperse topical humor with market trends, quietly debuted on FBN two weeks ago, though the official announcement came today.
"They're irreverent, but there's always a lot of financial information in there," says FBN senior VP of operations Brian Jones. "There's information in there for the Wall and Broad guys as well as the Main Street guys."
