Miller returns to NBC with 'Amnesia'

Comedian to host Burnett-produced quizshow

Dennis Miller is returning to NBC, inking a deal to host the net's new Mark Burnett-produced quizzer "Amnesia."

Skein is a comedy-based gameshow in which contestants win money by answering questions about themselves. It's scheduled to bow later this season.

"He's quick on his feet and has a great way of bringing out the comedic elements" in "Amnesia," said NBC alternative programming topper Craig Plestis.

Miller said the skein plays to his strengths as a host.

"It's a comedy first that just happens to be wrapped in a gameshow package, and that allows me to be who I am," he said.

"Amnesia" is the second hosting gig Miller has lined up in the past month. He recently inked to host "Sports Unfiltered" for Versus (Daily Variety, Oct. 5).

Comic continues to topline a weekeday syndicated radio talkshow.

"Amnesia" will be exec produced by Burnett, Roy Bank, Adam Cohen, Cara Tapper and Joanna Vernetti.
