'Samantha Who?'

ABC orders a full season of 'Samantha Who?' after a strong performance.

Viewers answered the call for "Samantha Who" -- and ABC responded, giving the show a full- season pickup.

ABC announced the "back nine" order a day after "Samantha" posted its best ratings yet. After three telecasts, "Samantha" ranks as the year's top-rated new laffer.

Nielsen estimates that the show has averaged a 4.5 rating/11 share among adults 18-49, as well as 14.1 million viewers overall.

Also, this week's "Samantha" seg repped the show's top marks yet with adults 18-34.

"Samantha" reps ABC's first half-hour laffer to score a full-season pickup; "Cavemen" and "Carpoolers" remain on the bubble, although the net has ordered additional scripts of "Carpoolers."

"Samantha Who" stars Christina Applegate as a woman who suffers from amnesia after an accident -- and is mortified to discover that she used to be a pretty horrible human being. Jennifer Esposito, Kevin Dunn, Melissa McCarthy, Tim Russ, Barry Watson and Jean Smart also star.

Cecelia Ahern and Donald Todd created "Samantha Who," while Todd and Peter Traugott exec produce. ABC Studios is behind the show.
