Uecker takes the reigns at Cinepool, the group's theatrical sales division, in January and will report directly to Telepool CEO Thomas Weymar.
As Cinepool "coordinator," Uecker replaces Justyna Muesch, who is ankling the company to head co-productions and acquisitions at Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Germany, taking over from the outgoing Maike Haas.
Uecker has worked in international licensing for the past decade, most recently at Kinowelt Intl., where she served as director of TV sales, overseeing the group's film sales in German-speaking Europe. Prior to that she was at sports and children's programming rights trader EM.TV.
Noting Uecker's many years of experience, Weymar said Telepool would be expanding Cinepool's operations within the Telepool group.
While Cinepool had earlier denoted Telepool's film sales division, the label had been dormant in recent years with Telepool handling international distribution of both TV programming and feature films.
Telepool's current lineup includes the upcoming TV pic "Mogadishu," a fact-based terrorist drama about the 1977 hijacking of a Lufthansa flight as well as Peter Flinth's Swedish film "Arn: The Knight Templar" and Rudolf Schweiger's big-screen feature "Sniper's Valley," starring Max Riemelt and Adrian Topol as German soldiers in the Kosovo War.
