CNBC, Dubai Financial Center pact

Deal made for cross-partnership activities

LONDON -- CNBC have inked a three-year, multi-million dollar deal with the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) for a series of cross-partnership activities. Pact comprises on-air, online and event-driven elements across CNBC channels in the U.S., Europe, Asia, India and Australia.

DIFC will sponsor CNBC's new half hour show "Gateway to the Middle East." The new show will debut Oct. 24, and will have a dedicated micro-site featuring extended content and blogs.

"The Middle East is a growing and important area for us, with more and more international trade emanating from the region," said CNBC commercial director Dan McClean. "Research in Europe tells us that 13% of our viewers have investments in the Middle East."
