BUENOS AIRES -- Argentine actor-director Julio Chavez took home the Gold ACE, the top prize at the 16th annual legit kudos fest of the Entertainment Reporters Association (ACE) in Buenos Aires.

Chavez, who won a Silver Berlin Bear this year for his performance in the film "El otro" (The Other), also picked up the prize for "Death of a Salesman," which he directed, and for his performance in the one-man play "I Am My Own Wife" and for director of the off-mainstream production "La de Vicente Lopez."

Alfredo Alcon went away with lead actor kudos for his role in "Salesman."

Among other winners, a production of Jean Cocteau's "Les parents terribles" won comedy and "Sweet Charity" took musical and Claudia Pineiro's "Un mismo arbol verde" scooped homegrown play.
