NEW YORK -- The road's 14.4% decrease in week 21 (Oct. 15-21) was mostly artificial. The 12-show slate didn't benefit from the reporting from "Mamma Mia!" this week, but the numbers from that show should be back on track for week 22.

The rest of the slate saw a few expected lapses as shows moved to smaller venues -- "Avenue Q" notably left LA for Tucson -- but no inexplicable leaps or plummets. The slate is up $2 million over last year, and the number of roadside millionaires is high.

Ending the weeks-long reign of the touring production of "Wicked," which dipped about $100,000 in Boston, the highest grossing show on the slate was the Dallas production of "The Lion King," which climbed about $150,000 to $1,628,181.
