The NBC Universal-backed channel has added 2 million new households to its regional footprint over the past year. Most have come in Korea via the Qrix and Areum Broadcasting Network platforms, New Zealand on Sky TV and Vietnam on Ho Chi Minh Cable TV and Vietnam Cable TV networks.
Group has revamped its daily schedule, increasing Asia-Pacific content to 9.5 hours a day, establishing a bureau in Sydney and creating a new suite of mobile products.
CNBC Asia Pacific's channels include CNBC Asia, CNBC-TV18 (India), CNBC Pakistan and Nikkei-CNBC (Japan). It also has strategic alliances with Shanghai Media Group's China Business Network and with Korea's Chosun Digital.
