South Africa's 'Footprint' coming to U.S.

Stage show begins tour Nov. 1

South African stage show "African Footprint" is taking its first steps in the U.S., with a North American tour that begins in New Orleans Nov. 1.

New Orleans stint, whose gala preem is hosted by Louis Gossett, Jr., is the first major legit event to play N.O. since the area was devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

A look at the history of South Africa through music and dance, "Footprint" originated in 1999 in South Africa (where it played seven years) and has been seen in Europe, Australia, China, Israel and India.

Corey Ross producers the North American tour, with additional stops in Gotham, Philadelphia, Toronto, Anchorage, Detroit, Hartford and Fort Lauderdale.
