Claman launched her FBN career auspiciously Thursday with a live hourlong interview with uber investor Warren Buffett, which Fox aired in its entirety from 4-5 p.m. ET, placing Buffett above any analysis of the just-finished trading day.
Claman asked Buffett if he would watch the fledgling network. He said yes, if only his local cable company, Cox Communications, would carry it. "I just improved your negotiating position," he added.
Claman, who left CNBC in July, signed with FBN on Tuesday after her six-month non-compete clause expired.
She makes her debut as an anchor Monday when she will be paired with David Asman from 2-5 p.m., a timeslot that includes the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange.
Claman, a former "Morning Call" anchor on CNBC, left the Peacock after failing to reach a deal on a new contract. She's the highest-profile transfer between the networks, now bitter competitors.
