Brock Clarke penned the tome, published by Algonquin Books last month. It centers on an accidental firebug who torches the Emily Dickinson Homestead by mistake as a young man and later becomes the prime suspect when a series of literary landmarks go up in flames.
John Wells and Claire Rudnick Polstein will produce. Shingle's Lisa Morales exec produces.
Clarke also penned "The Ordinary White Boy" and short story collections "Carrying the Torch" and "What We Don't."
Wells' shingle, which is based on the Warner lot, also has set up "The Zero" and "Awaken the Dragon" at the studio's specialty arm.
