On a day in which CAA signed "3:10 to Yuma" director James Mangold and his Tree Line Films partner Cathy Konrad, the percentery parted company with longtime agent David Styne.
Styne, who'd been at CAA since 1989, worked with such writer and director clients as Oliver Stone, Michael Mann, Taylor Hackford, Rand Ravich, Jerry Zucker, Jonathan Mostow, Russell Gewirtz and Steven Bochco. He exited abruptly after a disagreement with the senior partners.
The agency confirmed the Mangold/Konrad addition and the Styne exit but would not elaborate on the latter.
Mangold and Konrad had been repped by WMA. Aside from films like "3:10 to Yuma" and "Walk the Line," Mangold and Konrad are exec producers of the ABC drama "Men in Trees."
Attempts to reach Styne were unsuccessful.
