Distributor loosens collar at affair

The parties thrown by Korea's biggest distributor, CJ Entertainment, in past years have sometimes been stiff, formal affairs, but the company loosened its collar on Sunday night with a swinging bash in Murphy's bar underneath the Novotel Ambassador. Packed to the hilt, the party was light on speeches and heavy on music, with attendees bouncing up and down to live performances from Bobby Kim and other acts. The only complaint was that the lively 8 p.m. event hadn't been scheduled a bit later -- some attendees found it a letdown to move on to the long-winded speeches at the night's other parties.
