Thesp plays the best friend of Carrey's character, who decides to change his life by saying yes to everything that comes his way.
Studio is partnering with Village Roadshow on the bigscreen adaptation of Danny Wallace's memoir. It is skedded to begin production this month with Peyton Reed directing.
David Heyman and Richard Zanuck produce. Nicholas Stoller, co-writer of Carrey's "Fun With Dick and Jane" remake, did a rewrite of David Iserson's adaptation (Daily Variety, July 25).
Cooper just wrapped "All About Steve" for Fox 2000 and will segue into New Line's "He's Just Not That Into You." He will appear in Lionsgate's upcoming thriller "Midnight Meat Train" and "Case 39" for Paramount. He also has a recurring role on FX's "Nip Tuck."
