Betsy Morgan, general manager of CBSNews.com, is expected to leave her job to become CEO of the web site co-founded two years ago by the nationally syndicated columnist.
Former interim CEO and co-founder of the site, Kenneth Lerer, will move up to chairman, according to the New York Times and the Financial Times.
Morgan worked in business development under former digital chief Larry Kramer before taking the top business-side job at CBSNews.com in 2005.
She joined CBS News in 1998 as executive director of business development.
Founded two years ago, the Huffington Post now has 45 employees. Arianna Huffington is listed as editor-in-chief of the site.
