Mok, the exec producer of "America's Next Top Model," will develop and exec produce a pilot for the zitgeist net possibly in the reality-competition category. MTV declined to specify the subject of the project; it's likely net will be choosing either from several ideas pitched by the creator or will have him oversee an existing project.
Deal reps a continuation of a long relationship. Mok created MTV aspirational reality skein "Making the Band," which was overseen for the net by Tony DiSanto, now MTV's programming chief.
Mok will be working with Liz Gately, who runs development under DiSanto, on developing the MTV series.
The 10x10 principal, who produced football-themed feature "Invincible," is also overseeing a new installment in the CW's "Pussycat Dolls" franchise.
