BERLIN -- The Frankfurt Book Fair, partnering with the Berlinale for the third year, will screen four literary adaptations that unspooled in the main sections of this year's film fest in addition to featuring workshops and matching sessions aimed at bringing the publishing and film industries closer together.

"Hallam Foe," "Tekkonkinkreet," "Lady Chatterley" and "I Served the King of England" will screen on Oct. 11, known as Berlinale Day at the book fair, which runs Oct. 10-14.

The screenings are part of the event's annual Forum Film and TV section, which showcases lit titles and brings together filmmakers and publishers.

Film producers will have the opportunity to take part in the workshop "An Insider's View of the Book World From A-Z," hosted by Gesine Luebben of Swiss publisher Diogenes and Nina Eidem, a literary agent from the Salomonsson Agency.

The workshop will tackle creative exchange, contracts, cost estimates for film options, calculations and marketing tools, with Luebben and Eidem presenting examples of their work.
