Promotion of Meyer comes less than a year after he joined the tenpercentery from UTA, where he had been for 13 years. Meyer will lead a department whose client list includes Hayma "Screech" Washington ("The Amazing Race"), Leslie Greif ("Gene Simmons' Family Jewels"), Kevin Greene ("Survivor"), KAOS Entertainment and Weller Grossman Prods.
"In less than a year, Hayden has successfully articulated a clear vision for the alternative television department while at the same time attracting top-tier clients to the agency," APA prexy-CEO Jim Gosnell said. "Under his direction, we see a real opportunity to establish APA's leadership in this area."
As for Kamler, he brings with him clients such as Jeff Apploff ("Don't Forget the Lyrics") and Lincoln Hiatt ("Solitary"). He helped package "Lyrics" while at ICM.
Kamler spent two years at BWCS, shifting to ICM after it acquired BWCS last year.
In addition to the Meyer promotion and Kamler hire, APA has recently bumped Alan Moore to coordinator for its alternative department. Moore was recruited by APA senior veep Beth Bohn, who launched the tenpercentery's alternative department.
