Jaman, which combines high-definition downloading of movies with social networking, focuses on independent and arthouse sector. New deals expand its video-on-demand lineup to 1,700 titles.
Dreamachine, repping libraries of London-based HanWay Films and Paris-based Celluloid Dreams, will provide titles including Bernardo Bertolucci’s “The Last Emperor,” Wim Wenders’ “Buena Vista Social Club,” David Cronenberg’s “Naked Lunch,” Woody Allen’s “Matchpoint” and Takeshi Kitano’s “Kid’s Return.”
Trust library includes works by helmer Lars von Trier, Susanne Bier, Lukas Moodysson and Thomas Vinterberg, and the Dogma series of no-budget experimental titles.
Fortune Star, the library and Asian film production offshoot of News Corp., will supply several dozen titles from its 800-title Hong Kong catalog.
Fortissimo deal inked in Toronto includes Danny and Oxide Pang’s “Bangkok Dangerous,” Clara Law’s “Autumn Moon,” Hur Jin-ho’s “Christmas in August,” Tian Zhuangahuang’s “Delamu” and Shunji Iwai quartet of “All About Lily Chou Chou,” “April Story,” “Fireworks” and “Fried Dragonfish.”
