Project’s the first to be developed under Kerner Entertainment’s recently singed first-look deal with Walden. Kerner, who previously partnered with Walden on “Charlotte’s Web,” will produce.
Weisman (“George of the Jungle,” “Mighty Ducks II”) also will exec produce. Josh Shelov (“Green Street Hooligans”) is adapting Adrian Wojnarowski’s book.
Wojnarowski will consult along with Hurley, whose teams have won 22 state and two national championships. Story centers on the 2005 season and Hurley’s efforts to transform the toughest, least-engaged players at St. Anthony High School in a downtrodden Jersey City neighborhood.
