The company, which was founded by Pam and Andi Engel in 1976, was acquired by Roger Wingate's Act Entertainment Group and Philip Knatchbull's media investment fund Knatchbull Communications Group last year.
Pam Engel, a consultant since last year's takeover, is also set to leave. Andi Engel died last December.
"With the changes in the marketplace and the opportunities that creates, Curzon Artificial Eye has made the decision to restructure the group and focus on the areas of sales, marketing and acquisitions separately," said Knatchbull, CEO of the Curzon Artificial Eye Group.
"After overseeing the transition of ownership of Artificial Eye 12 months ago, Robert Beeson sees this restructuring as an opportune time to step down after 30 years with Artificial Eye."
The company has nine pics playing in the upcoming Times London Film Festival, including Cristian Mungiu's "4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days," Catherine Breillat's "The Last Mistress," Alexander Sokurov's "Alexandra" and Fatih Akin's "The Edge of Heaven."
