Mark Waters will helm from a Jon Lucas and Scott Moore screenplay.
The story centers on a charming womanizer who is visited by the apparitions of girlfriends past, present and future while attending the wedding of his younger brother. He eventually realizes that he is in love with his childhood sweetheart.
Jon Shestack and Brad Epstein are producing.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in January.
Garner next stars in Universal Pictures' "The Kingdom" and Fox Searchlight's "Juno." She is currently playing the role of Roxanne in a Broadway version of "Cyrano."
