"Maiden," written by Michael LeSieur ("You, Me and Dupree"), centers on three museum security guards who have become attached to the artwork they've watched over for decades. When they learn their beloved pieces are to be transferred to another museum, they concoct a scheme to "steal" them back.
Pic will begin shooting Nov. 12 in Boston, with Peter Hewitt ("Garfield") directing. Lori McCreary and Freeman, co-founders of Revelations Entertainment, will produce with Bob Yari and Rob Paris.
YFG will finance and distribute "The Lonely Maiden." Project was brought in head of production Brad Jenkel.
Jenkel will oversee it.
YFG's upcoming releases include romantic comedy "The Accidental Husband," starring Uma Thurman, Colin Firth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, as well as "The Sophomore." Revelations' upcoming releases include Lakeshore Entertainment production "The Feast of Love," starring Freeman and Greg Kinnear, which MGM opens Sept. 28.
Paris Film is also producing "Dirty Girl" along with Killer Films and Richard Kelly's recently formed Darko Entertainment.
