Jaramillo was at the peak of his career, having just played troubled priest Father Ernesto in Andres Baiz' box office and critical hit "Satanas" (Satan). Pic is Colombia's submission for the foreign language Oscars.
Jaramillo's other film credits include Alessandro Basile's "El Cielo" (The Sky), Carlos Moreno's "Perro come Perro (Dog Eat Dog) and Carlos Fernandez' "Cuarenta" (Forty).
His lengthy stage credits include "La Casa" (The House), based on Gabriel Garcia Marquez' novel "100 Years of Solitude," "Richard III," and "La muerte accidental de un anarquista" (The accidental death of an anarchist).
Jaramillo's most memorable performances on the small screen are in "Historias de hombres solo para mujeres" (2001) (The Story of Men) and "La jaula" (2003) (The Cage), skeins directed by Jaime Escallon and produced by local net Canal Caracol.
