The romantic drama centers on a Wall Street trader who is convicted of insider trading and must report to a minimum-security prison in 72 days. With his career destroyed and loss of freedom looming, he faces difficult choices when he falls in love for the first time.
Goodloe continues his relationship with Castle Rock, which earlier this year bought his spec script “Find.Love.Frost.”
Castle Rock has a first-look deal with Warner Bros. Pictures, where “Seventy-Two Days” will likely land.
Liz Glotzer will shepherd the project for Castle Rock.
Goodloe wrote the Lionsgate inner-city sports drama “Pride,” starring Terrence Howard. He’s also developing drama “The Associate” for 20th Century Fox Television.
