The unit will be part of Odeon's subsid Hofmann & Voges, and will be headed by Philipp Voges and Ool Osenbruegge, who has newly joined the company. Osenbruegge was formerly head of development and acquisitions at Constantin's TV unit, where he created various nonfiction formats.
Odeon Film is known for series and TV movies as well as theatrical features. In March, it acquired shingle Hofmann & Voges. Odeon's sales volume in the first half of 2007 amounted to 26 million euros ($36.2 million), up from $26.4 million in the first half of 2006.
