ThinkFilm snaps up 'Battle' rights

Stuart Townsend's directorial debut sold

TORONTO -- ThinkFilm has nabbed debut helmer Stuart Townsend's "Battle in Seattle."

Sources put the price for domestic rights at around $2 million.

Deal is ThinkFilm's second high-profile acquisition since picking up Helen Hunt's directorial debut "Then She Found Me" in the opening days of the Toronto fest.

Endeavor had been handling sales of Townsend's pic, which recounts the 1999 WTO riots in Seattle. Cast includes Charlize Theron, Woody Harrelson and Ray Liotta.
