Bier to direct 'Lost for Words'

Working Title's Bevan, Fellner to produce

Danish helmer Susanne Bier has signed on to direct the dramedy "Lost for Words" for Working Title Films.

The story centers on a movie star lothario who finds himself falling in love with a beautiful Chinese actress and her female translator. Jamie Curtis penned the screenplay.

Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing, alongside "Love Actually" writer-director-producer Richard Curtis.

Bier made her English-language directing debut with DreamWorks' upcoming Halle Berry-Benicio Del Toro starrer "Things We Lost in the Fire." Her Danish-language Dogma projects also have caught the eye of Hollywood in recent years. Bier's "Open Hearts" and "Brothers" are being remade in English by helmers Zach Braff and Jim Sheridan, respectively.

She is repped by CAA.
