Fox Business Network nabs anchors

Five Fox News veterans join cable network

Fox Business Network has tapped five Fox News veterans to join the cabler when it launches in October.

The anchors join managing editor Neil Cavuto and director of business news Alexis Glick in forming the nucleus of the on-air cast. FBN hasn't yet made a high-profile outside hire, but is said to be looking at least two former CNBC anchors, including former "Morning Call" anchor Liz Claman and "Fast Money" contributor Eric Bolling.

Both Bolling and Claman are under non-compete clauses that end this fall.

The FNC anchors making the move to FBN include "Forbes on Fox" host David Asman, business correspondents Cheryl Casone, Rebecca Gomez and Dagen McDowell. Gomez is a correspondent for "Your World with Neil Cavuto" and FNC's "Cost of Freedom" weekend business block. McDowell appears on "Your World" and "Cashin' In."

Also named was Stuart Varney, who joined the network in 2004 as a business contributor and substitute host for Cavuto. Varney had been host of CNBC's "Wall Street Editorial Board with Stuart Varney."
