Clive Owen popped by the "Clayton" soiree and was also on hand for Universal's "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" gala on Sunday. Pic's helmer Shekhar Kapur was happy to be back in Toronto with a film for the fourth time. "You're always nice to me, whether you like my films or not," he told the gala audience. He later told Variety he'd like to do a third "Elizabeth" film, focusing on the queen's final years. "Elizabeth" thesp Cate Blanchett didn't rule it out as she was being whisked the pic's party to get back to the Los Angeles set of "Indiana Jones."On Saturday, Fox Searchlight feted its three fest pics in Toronto's restored 19th century distillery district. "Juno" helmer Jason Reitman brought dad Ivan plus pic's stars Ellen Page and Michael Cera.
That same night, Sony Classics feted its nine pics at Michelle's Brasserie, while over at Roy Thomson Hall, Focus Features unveiled David Cronenberg's "Eastern Promises," where Focus topper James Schamus recalled "the joy of going to the movies again. I haven't seen such a reaction to an eight-minute fight sequence since 'Crouching Tiger.' "
