Cox Cross Media becomes the digital sales rep for all TV stations sold through TeleRep, Harrington Righter & Parsons and MMT Sales, also based in New York. Digital sales are becoming bigger business for local stations, which operate their own websites with text and video.
Cox Cross Media will sell digital advertising across the stations and will add other digital platforms, such as mobile, in the future.
"Our clients asked us to provide them with the same high-caliber online service that we deliver in spot TV," said TeleRep prexy Jim Monahan.
Cox Television, based in Atlanta, operates 15 TV stations and two local cable channels in 11 markets. It owns three national TV advertising sales firms that rep Cox stations and those owned by other companies.
