Formerly the Museum of TV and Radio, the renamed Paley Center is increasing the number of events it holds throughout the year in all areas of media. The first season, titled "Media as Lens," will offer panel discussions of several TV series, including "ER," "Scrubs," "Mad Men," "The Closer" and "Two and a Half Men."
There will also be a reunion of the cast of the Emmy-winning CBS drama "Lou Grant," a discussion with the writers of "Late Show With David Letterman" and a look at reality skein "Hell's Kitchen."
Looking at the impact of media on news and current events, New York Times columnist Frank Rich will hold a roundtable with TV journalists, including former CBS anchor Dan Rather. And a behind-the-scenes look at freshman series "Cane" will be part of the Paley's look at the impact of Latino media.
The late Ethel Merman will have a night devoted to her career, and not forgetting its former moniker, the Paley Center will salute New York all-sports radio station WFAN, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
