TDC is the government-backed promotional org that organizes numerous trade shows and conventions in Hong Kong, including Filmart and Entertainment Expo.
According to sources at the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, So's TDC job will not affect his FDC role, which he took up this year.
The FDC was set up to administer the $38 million injected by the government into Hong Kong's movie sector (Daily Variety, April 15).
So was recently managing director and deputy chairman at telco-to-Internet TV group PCCW and was executive director of the TDC between 1982 and 1995.
