Gunnar Hansen to star in 'Massacre'

Julius Kemp to direct Icelandic horror film

Icelandic producer-director Julius Kemp is poised to make his filmic comeback with "Reykjavik Whale Watching Massacre," a horror film that will star Gunnar Hansen, famous for his role as Leatherface in the 1974 cult slasher "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

Pic is described as a blend of "The Blair Witch Project," "The Evil Dead" and, not surprisingly, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

The film will be financed by Kisi Production with Solar Film in Finland, and will be supported by the Icelandic Film Center. Kemp recently co-produced "The Bothersome Man." Kisi Productions is co-producing the horror movie "Dark Floors," starring Finnish monster rock group Lordi.

Start date for shooting on "Reykjavik Whale Watching Massacre" has yet to be announced.
