Series premiere was directed by Lasse Hallstrom and stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as immortal detective John Amsterdam. Fox execs said the shows is a good fit for fest as it's shot and set in Manhattan.
Fox announced the decision to hold back the show earlier this month, along with the extension of "Don't Forget the Lyrics."
The New York Television Festival hosts a week of network premieres before its independent TV showcase, where the makers of independently produced shows compete for meetings with net execs and possible development deals.
