Promofilm catches 'Bee'

Company lands format rights

Promofilm has acquired format rights to “The Singing Bee” for Latin America and is preparing to produce the first versions in Argentina and Chile.

“We believe the format has great potential” in Latin America, said Marcela Campos, senior content consultant for Promofilm Argentina, a unit of Spain’s Grupo Arbol.

Originally produced by Phil Gurin and Bob Horowitz for NBC, “Bee” has been adapted for Blighty broadcaster ITV.
