Kentis wrote and will direct the Vantage project, which is eying an early 2008 start.
Story revolves around a young woman who is arrested for a crime she didn't commit and plunged into a state of confusion and psychological terror as she defends herself.
"Chris and Laura have the ability to tap into viewers' fears and anxieties and create scenarios that are truly terrifying in their realism," rep John Lesher said.
Several month ago, Kentis inked a deal to helm "Indianapolis" for Warner Bros. Project is based on the WWII sinking of the USS Indianapolis, which left a crew of 900 floating in shark-infested waters for five days. Lau is one of the producers on the project.
Vantage's upcoming release slate includes "Into the Wild" and "Margot at the Wedding."
