"All But My Life" by Gerda Weissmann Klein (I met Gerda in Rhode Island when I was 13. She was the first person to put a face to the Holocaust for me, we had dinner, we talked about her memoir, I was scared and shy. She was my age in the camp. I did a book report on this book, the assignment "Who was your hero?"... Little did I know, she would win an Oscar for best documentary 15 years later.)
