Rosario Dawson joining 'Eagle Eye'

D.J. Caruso film stars Shia LaBeouf

Rosario Dawson has signed to join Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan in "Eagle Eye," the D.J. Caruso-directed DreamWorks thriller.

LaBeouf and Monaghan play characters who form an unlikely alliance after they're framed as terrorists and become members of a cell that plans to carry out a political assassination. Dawson plays a young government agent hot on their tail. Pic begins production this fall.

Paramount will distribute worldwide.

Hillary Seitz wrote the most recent draft, and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing with Pat Crowley and Ed McDonnell.

Dawson produced "Descent," the Talia Lugacy-directed drama, under her Trybe Films producing banner. She was last seen in "Death Proof," the Quentin Tarantino-directed segment of "Grindhouse."
