Bell joins Craig and Schreiber as Jewish brothers who escape Nazi-occupied Poland and head into the forest to join Russian resistance fighters and try to save the lives of other Jews. The film is based on a true story.
Zwick, who last directed "Blood Diamond," is producing through his Bedford Falls banner.
Bell, first seen in "Billy Elliot," recently completed a starring role in the Doug Liman-directed "Jumper" for New Regency. He plays the title character in "Hallam Foe," which debuts in the upcoming Edinburgh Film Festival.
