Martin-Coppola joins BermanBraun

Ex-Yahoo director to be head of interactive

Geraldine Martin-Coppola has been tapped head of interactive for BermanBraun, Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun's production shingle.

Announcement comes after company announced last month a first-look deal with Pepsi-Cola North America under which the cola giant gets first dibs at producing and sponsoring original Web programming BermanBraun develops.

At the time, however, BermanBraun had yet to hire a head of interactive to oversee the development of such fare.

Martin-Coppola most recently served as director of strategy for Yahoo Media Group, where she was responsible for analyzing the group's strategy, including new business initiatives, potential mergers and acquisitions and partnerships.

She started her two-year stint at the company as executive producer, Yahoo Studios, and was in charge of developing and producing digital programming ideas, such as Yahoo Talent Show and the MTV Movie Awards.

She's also worked for Vivendi Universal Interactive Publishing.
